Langtang Valley Trek – 7 Days

Max. Elevation: Tserko Ri- 5,000 m

The Langtang Valley Trek is one of the most popular trekking routes. It is also known as the valley of glaciers. It is a stunning and easy trek which is the perfect way to experience the wilderness and picturesque beauty of Nepal.

The trail takes you through pine forests, mountain streams, lovely meadows and rocky outcrops along with an amazing view of Langtang range.

The trek makes a circuit trek across Kathmandu- Chisapani- Kutumsang- Tharepati- Tarke Gyang- Timbu.

And the highest altitude of this trek being roughly 3,000 m, you do not need to worry about altitude sickness. The major highlights of this trek are the Shivapuri National Park and Langtang National Park.

Ghorepani Poon Hill Trek is one of the most classic short treks of Nepal into the Annapurna Region. This trek is a short yet fascinating one. This trek takes you through diverse terrain hence, the scenery is constantly changing.

You will witness lush green vegetation, beautiful local villages and of course panoramic views of the great Himalayas.

Since this trek is an easy grade trek, you do not need a high level of fitness or any prior training. And the maximum elevation being 3,210 meters, altitude sickness is rarely an issue on this trek.

The trail is constantly dominated by the beautiful Machhapuchhare (Fishtail Peak). The highlight is, of course, Poon Hill itself. From here, you will get exceptionally beautiful views of the Dhaulagiri, Nilgiri, Annapurna I and Annapurna South.

Generally a part of the much longer and famous Annapurna Circuit Trek, this trek is also doable in as little as 5 days. Leaving the higher altitude points behind, you will only be trekking till the sacred Muktinath Temple at 3,800 m.

Muktinath Temple is a sacred pilgrimage site for Hindus and Buddhists. Known as the temple of salvation, thousands of pilgrims from all around the world come here every year to seek blessings.

You will be taking a flight from Pokhara to Jomsom, the starting point of the trek. The flight to Jomsom offers magnificent views of the Himalayan giants such as Dhaulagiri, Annapurna etc.

From Jomsom, the trail passes along the Kali Gandaki Gorge, the deepest gorge in the world to many traditional villages on the way.

It also passes by Marpha, known for its apple orchids, apricots, and peaches. You will be able to visit several caves, Buddhist monasteries and ancient fort on the trek.

This trek takes you through authentic rural villages and lets you experience real Nepalese village life.

This trek begins with a boat ride across Phewa Lake to arrive at your starting point and ends at Naudanda.

Panchase Danda Trek is suitable for all people of all ages and does not even require you to have earlier trekking experience.

Best Time for Easy Treks in Nepal

The best time to go trekking in Nepal is Spring (late February, March, April) and Autumn (late September, October, November).

Spring is the end of the dry winter season and the second-best time of the year to trek in Nepal. There are blooming rhododendrons and other flowers along the trail and the trails are free from snow.

The weather is warm and comfortable with clear skies which provides you with great views of the mountains.
