Driving

From Lhasa, the drive to the main EBC near Rombuk is of 2-3 days. The roads are very good compared to Nepal and is a comfortable journey.

Tourists usually take a bus or 4WDs from Lhasa to EBC. A typical route to EBC from Tibet is from Lhasa-Gyantse-Qomolangma National Park via Sakya- Rombuk- Shigatse- Lhasa.
