Great Adventure Company was Fantastic! To Fellow Trekkers, the great adventure company was fantastic! we traveled the Everest region with Babu & Giri and had a great time. The teahouses were beautiful and the views of the Himalayas were spectacular! The only way to see the mountains is to go trekking. Our guide was great and without him we would miss out on many of the sights and culture of Nepal. Thank you to The Great Adventure! We had a wonderful time and saw the best of the Himalayas, Mt. Everest was spectacular! Best Wishes for the future  from Canberra, Australia! 8/10/07

Trek was to Jomsom and Muktinath with Rishi 19/10/006 I came back to Nepal for the second time for more trekking and to experience the great hospitality and friendship of the Nepalese people. They are the some of the warmest and welcoming people I have ever met. My trek was to jomsom and muktinath with Rishi as my guide. The trek was well organized from the company and the guide was excellent and great. I would definitely recommend Rishi as a trekking guide for his sense of humor, experience and knowledge of the mountain and his occasional taste for apple brandy drinking brandy was all part of the trekking experience. While trekking we met many other trekkers, guides and porters all of which we chatted to and Rishi made everyone fell included and one of us his friends. One big advantage trekking with Rishi was his good English. Many other trekkers we met who many not had perfect English themselves found it difficult communicate meaningfully with their guide whose English was limited with Rishi’s English I felt I learnt a lot more about the culture mountains and people than some of the other trekkers! I would recommend Rishi as a guide with no hesitation and the organization of the trek by everyone at Great Adventure Trek & Expedition. Gen Heweltt.

Langtang Valley with our Wonderful Guide Netherlands May 21st 2008 Stefanie and heather are just back from as 8-day trek through the langtang valley with our wonderful guide Nabin chhetri. We just want to write to say how happy we were with the trek. The langtang valley is so beautiful; we loved the forest, the monkeys, the yaks and of curse the mountains(spectacular). Unfortunately we did not see a snow-leopard, red panda or yeti. I guess we’ll have to come back. Also if you go eat dal bhat at the jungle view hotel in lama hotel, it was amazing lesp. Your way down-you might fall or we might just be clumsy. Seriously it was an amazing trek though the people were incredibly friendly. We loved everyone in the guesthouses/hotel. We especially appreciated the great adventure treks & Expedition and our guide nabin. We definitely recommend the langtang trek and the great adventure trekking company. Tamang Heritage Trek Holland 15th may 2007 we just came back from an amazing trek. We did the tamang heritage trek. The area just opened a few months ago, so there weren’t many guesthouses. Was great!!! We saw how the people live and they are so friendly! We saw a wedding, which was amazing, just to see how everything is so different but so the same. At the end we were more interesting, so we left. You are still a special tourist if you go there.we only did home stays, which was wonderful. We definitely recommended this trip to anybody who is interested in culture!!! We hope to get back and see a lot more of this amazing country and do more trekking with this company! Have fun! Annapurna Trail and did one of the best Trekking 2nd May, 2007 Trekers,

If you are reading this then you are one lucky human ! Prakash and the boys at The Great Adventure Treks & Exp. really know their stuff.

Me and my buddy Kyle were lucky enough to stumble upon this opportunity early in our first Nepal trip. We went out on the Annapurna trail and did one of the best trekking i've ever done in my life. I have been trekking all over the U.S. for years but none of it compores to the stuff we did here. The viens, heights, people, and ambiance are really unlike any other place on earth. Also, when you have an awesome guide, like we did with Rajendra, you'll truely be able to take in everything the Nepali way. I feel very fortunate to have treked with Great Adventure and if I come back, I should say When i come back I'll definately be contacting them again. I suggest you book with them, you wont be displeased I wish you the best of luck on your treck and urge you to place your trust in Prakash and Rajendra, they're stand up dudes. Sincerely, Dave M. Amazing Experience mostly because of you top Quality Guides England 05/03/008 We booked 14 days trekking all the way to Everest base camp. No training and no experience. It was our first time trekking ever. Fortunately we had Ang Dawa Sherpa as our guide; he was seriously hard core he looked after us all the way. He climbed Everest many times and knows all the best places to get chang (typical mountain wine) right up along the way. It was an amazing experience mostly because of you top quality guides with the top quality company The Great Adventure Trek & Expedition. Thanking you all. Dan & Laura England

Annapurna Range was Extensive UK I could highly recommend The Great Adventure trekking company and our guide Kabiraj. I didn’t realize when we signed up to have a guide that we would actually get a waiter and servants as well!! He did everything to make me comfortable and happy, making sure that I had everything that I needed. His Knowledge of Annapurna range was extensive, when asked about the name of the particular mountains, he replied by starting the names and exact heights of all the visible mountains in the range. On top of this, he is friendly guy, ……………..about own culture more than willing to talk about his. Fantastic trek! Ed Gashick, Cambridge, UK. 13/03/007

Nepal, on top of the world!

Monday August 27th, 2007 by Daniëlle

Our flight from India to Nepal was very exhausting, due to the enormous chaos we encountered at the airport of Varanasi. Believe me, we have not seen anything like this during our trip around the world! The check-in counter opened too late, which caused people pushing and shoving eachother, because there were too many people with too much luggage and therefore not enough space. After a lot of manual checks and other stuff the plane departed too late, which did not really surprise us. After a short flight the relaxing atmosphere and organisation at the airport of Kathmandu was quite a relief. The visa we were able to achieve easily for 24 euros. Both Edvar and I were kind of exhausted, due to our trip in India. In Nepal we let us be taken to a hotel the “Pilgrim Guest House” by some guy we met at the airport. Since the hotel was nice and Bhupendra seemed like a trustworthy guy, we decided to book our complete trip in Nepal and our grouptrip towards Tibet (which you have to do through a travelagency anyway) with the same guy (Bhupendra Adhikari, The Great Adventure Treks & Expeditions). To be honest it is kind of nice to travel in an “organised” way for a while. The Nepalese people are really friendly and they really know customer service and Nepal is a cheap travel destination. Until now we really enjoy travelling in Nepal and Nepal might end up as the second best country on our trip around the world (Canada is still number one). Nature is wonderfull and although there are some similarities compared to India, Nepal is a lot nicer and quieter.........see more from Edvar Van Daalen & Danielle Horenberg's website

Impressive Mountain Views 06/03/2008 Dhunche - Gosainkunda - Tharepati - Kutuinsay - Kathmandu We really enjoy our one week trekking with our guide surya. During the steep way up though very nice and changing nature he explained us everything we needed to know carried our bags when we were feeling too sick to carry them on our own. When we reached Gosainkunda at 4300metres the show fall might have caused major problems to passing the pass. He found the invisible way and kept always a cool head, being junny and relaxed at the same time. We can strongly recommend this trek because of the impressive mountain views, the changing ways and the interesting, rich insights in the lives of the Tamang People. We thank "The Great Adventure " for making this trek possible - especially we could trush everyone at every time - and our guide surya for a week full of impressions we will never forget. Porter / Guide Passing 8 April 2008 I am from Seattle, USA - Holla ! Down with the 20- - wut wut! I met the effusively charming guide Jarpan Pariyar. while up in gorak shep, at the foot of Mt. Everest / Chomolungma. We met in a lodge there that had a disgustingly full to i let but meeting Jarpan was not at all shifty we had good funny talks about our traumatic travels in India but then we went our separate ways he was leading a group of 4 French cydistes and I was trying not to get scanned by my dishonest but nice Sherpa porter / guide passing. We met once again in fortuitous accident in thamel and have become good friends in a short time. He is funny, honest (how many people can you say that of really?) deeply spiritual and you would be lucky to back home as a guide, luckier still to call him a friend. We were so lucky and grateful to choose the Great Adventure
None of us five have ever tried trekking but we ended up to finishe the 60KM route from Ghorapani to Pooh Hill within 4 days' time. We enjoyed very much the trekking every day though sometimes we were too tired to feel our leggs. However you could feel caring all the way long from our trekking guide Niraj (a very handsome young boy) and the two porters whose names I cannot spell out correctly. I have been in a company with the culture of "seek excellence". During this trip, my only complain is that our trekking guide is a "sweet lier" who always told us "five minutes more". The team and their boss Mani, are all very experienced in arranging the overall schedule as well as the details such as preparing crampons and alpenstocks. The Great Adventure has given us an amazing adventure in Nepal and pleasant friendship with Mani and Niraj.

Lukla - Gokyo Ri - Chola - Kalapatthar - EBC Trek 27th sept. Lukla - Gokyo Ri - Chola - Kalapatthar - EBC Our trek started with Ang Dendi Sherpa as our guide and Phunsi Sherpa as our porter, All the planning for the 16 days was prepared smoothly and we set off min confidence in our guide and the Great Adventures company. Dendi guided us up to Namche Bazar where we stayed for an amortization day. Unfortunately Dendi had a family illness so hold to fly back to kathmandu. he organized for a new guide - Dawa Sherpa Dawa was also a very good guide, he monitored the conditions to ensure our walk was always safe. we were always given options to walk ln further or rest earlier each day so kept at our capote easily. The climbs up Gokyo Ri, over Chola pass and Kala patther were challenging with the altitude conditions but very enjoyable and worthwhile. we thoroughly enjoyed as trip, were very pleased that we took a guide porter and impressed with Derdi + Dawas's knowledge of the area both being locally raised was an adventure. Experience Everything Possible on the Jomsom Trek 5th May, 2007 Buddhas rapping Group We were not sure what to expect as far as walking, Scenery, and food/accomodation. But we can not say enough positive things about our organised trek, we got to see and experience everything possible on the Jomsom track. Our guide + porter, Buddha + Sun Dip were exceptional and very accomodation Buddah has a fantastic personality and had us laughing for most of the trip, he taught us basic language + culture on our trek which makes experience all that much better. We had also only very positive things to say about Great Adventure Company as it made us feel very organised, both before we arrived + once we arrieved, it is a very proffessional company, and we will be recomending it to all our friends interested to come to Nepal. Thanks For Everthing. Michael + Jaime

Excellent Experience 28th November 2007 From the moment i bumped into D.B. at the airport I felt these guys were a safe bet. I had no previous experience of trekking or Nepal. But Prakash listened to my plans and put together a great trip. The price was very reasonable, and he managed to get me a guide, Dawa Sherpa, who was happy to carry my pack. He was a great guy to walk with for 22 + days, nothing was ever a problem, he always give me bet price for lodging, food, beer + cigarette and other essentials. Whenever I wanted to rest, we rested, when I wanted to push onto the near village, sometimes in the dark, we would. He didn’t complain once. Ever ewhen I suggested we climb Island Peak (6189m.) with no climbing experience, he made it happen, using his own experience and Savoy and contacts,. We got a permit and equipment from chulung , and a second guide, with excellent experience- and up we went . It was the perfect end to a superb trip, huge amount of fun, great exercise, great value. You should use this company, great adventures, they will listen to you and you can trust them on price, knowledge, experience, and general ease + pleasantness to deal with. Have fur, all the best and let these guys with after your. Kind regs, Daroufterwlt (Shendy) Hong Kong

Antastic and Memorable Trek 7 March 2008 Andy Dangerfield - London Have just returned fro a week long trip organised by Great Adventure. I had an enjoyable time and thought it has well organised and great value. I did a 4 day trek around the Annapurna range with Bikram as my guide. He was very friendly, helpful and knowledgeable. He was very reliable if I had any problems and the places we stopped to eat and sleep that he recommended were of a very good standard Having a great guide in Bikram. Certainly made it a fantastic and memorable trek. I spent two nights at Jungle Island in Chitwan National park. The accommodation was good, activities great fun and staff very helpful. Fantastic Variety in Landscape Canada 22. oct. 2006 We have just returned from wonderful 10 days trek in to the jomsom / Annapurna trek. We saw a fantastic variety in landscape. Our guide was excellent as was our one porter. We are so glad that we used your services as Shree our guide was able to facilitate so many things that we would not have been able to do by ourselves. We were introduce to nepali culture and entertained nightly by guide and porter. Then one day lay over in pokhara was a fitting in to the trek wit its lakesides attractions, all before one of the most magnificent mountain back drops in the world. Thanks for such a great experience. Terry and Emma broomsgrove Canada.

Tornerò presto! our trekking in Annapurna is amazing. Mr. Mani is always available to help us solve problems; Kumar, our professional guide, has all the knowledge on trekking and nature, he also told us the history of Nepalese culture during the long trek. The route is not dangerous but sincerely for someone who has never done trekking is a bit 'difficult, it was always Kumar who helped me, hand in hand, to pass the narrowest streets. I will be back soon!
Best Quality Tour in Nepal

Visited in August 2019

We booked a 10 days tour in Nepal with Mani and it was absolutely a lifetime experience. He helped us to decide the best possible itinerary, considering all our preferences and needs. This was not easy as we were a big group and travelled with many children. However, he was patient with our questions, providing all different alternatives and was also resolutive adapting his proposal to all our demands, even the most difficult. We didn’t make it easy, but all our expectations were fulfilled and even exceeded. The driver was very knowledgeable, the vehicle comfortable and in good condition, the hotels he proposed were a great option, price was excellent and the organization of the tour impeccable. I would highly recommend this company to anyone travelling to Nepal.
