Day 1

Arrival in Kathmandu [1,300m/4,264 ft]

Upon landing Kathmandu international airport, the staff from our agency will receive you with a warm welcome. The agency staff will escort you to the reserved vehicle. The staff will load your luggage in the vehicle. You will enjoy an interesting view of the street of Kathmandu. After 30 mins of a ride from the airport, you finally get to your hotel.

After you freshen up from the long travel, the trek leader/guide will invite you for a welcome dinner. The tour guide will give a short brief about the Manaslu trek via Larke la pass. There will be a session of questions and answers. Later in the evening, you will enjoy a typical Nepalese restaurant assisted by a cultural program. You will come back to your room and rest for the night at the hotel.

Day 2

Half day sightseeing tour of Kathmandu [1,300m/4,264 ft]

You will enjoy an organized sightseeing tour in Kathmandu. Kathmandu is a city full of wonders and mixture of religious influence. You will leave for Pashupatinath early in the morning, it is one of the holy shrines of Lord Shiva. You will witness Sadhus and devotees swarm the holy riverbank of Bagmati. Later that morning, your tour guide will lead you to Boudhanath Stupa. You will explore the premises of Boudhanath with melodious chanting noise of the Buddhist monk.Prayer wheels and colourful flag fluttering in the winds add a peaceful ambience to the surrounding. Day 3

Drive from Kathmandu to Machha Khola (870 m/2854 ft) (160km/99.4 mi) 10 – 12 hrs, Tea House Accommodation.

You will start your hike early in the morning after breakfast at the teahouse you are staying. You will shortly cross a bridge and trek through the beautiful Sal forests. The hike continues onto a ridge above the Budhi Gandaki river. You will climb steep terrains to Kyoropani and descend towards the river to Khursane. The trail leads to rocky terrains, tropical waterfalls on a steep cliff and eventually you walk your way down to Labubesi (885m/2,800ft).

You will have lunch at the Gurung village of Labubesi. The trek continues shortly after to steep climb behind a rocky terrain. The trail continues through the rocky terrain and opens up a beautiful view of Budhi Gandaki. You will descend to the sandy river banks of Budhi Gandaki and hike along the rounded stones. The trail leads to the suspension bridge over the river and finally after 6-7 hrs of the hike, you finally arrive at Machha Khola. You will stay for the night at Machha Khola (900m).

Day 4

Trek from Maccha Khola to Jagat (1300 m/ 4265 ft) (22km/13.7mi) 7 – 8 hrs, Tea House Accommodation.

You will have breakfast at Machha Khola early in the morning. The trek begins after you cross the Machhe Khola, you will head to the tiny village of Khorla Bensi. Shortly after, you will arrive at Tatopani and the trails start to go ups and downs from here. Eventually, you will climb over a ridge, and cross the Budhi Gandaki on a suspension bridge. The hike today sets off through the harsh terrains and is challenging at some places.

You will hike a short section of forest before arriving at a Guest House at Doban. You will enjoy lunch at Doban in the with an impressive view of Budhi Gandaki river. You will cross a suspension bridge over the Yaru Khola shortly after your lunch at Donovan. The trail continues through the stone stairs to Tharo Bharyang. The hike leads to a steep climb over a ridge of the Budhi Gandaki. You finally arrive at the village of Jagat. You rest for the night at Jagat (1410m) after 6-7 hours of hike.

Day 5

Trek from Jagat to Deng (1860 m /6102 ft) (20km/12.4mi) 7- 8 hrs, Tea House Accommodation.

The breakfast is served early in the morning at the teahouse. Your trek begins with a steep climb over a ridge to salleri and will shortly descend to Sirdibas. You will cross Gandaki River again and hike towards Gatte Khola through grassy land slopes. The trail continues to lead upstream towards a long suspension bridge in Philim. You will continue to hike north on a fairly level trail to Ekle Bhatti.

You will witness an impressive view of Shringi Himal 7187m through your trek. To avoid difficult valley trains, you will cross the river three times to reach the village of Deng 1860m You will arrive at the village of Deng after 6 hours of a hike from Jagat. You will stay for the night in Deng.

Day 6

Trek from Deng to Namrung (2650 m /8694 ft) (19.5km/12.1mi) 6 – 7 hrs, Tea House Accommodation.

You will start the trek early in the morning and cross the Budhi Gandaki. The hike leads to a trail from Bhi and then you will head west up the Budhi Gandaki valley. You will hike on a steep and impressive valley. The trail continues to the village of Lana, you will witness Mani stones in the village. After 4 hours of hike, you will arrive at Gham and you will commence lunch at the resting place. You will continue the route towards and through the Prok village.

The trail ahead passes through beautiful gompas. You will hike through the dense forest and cross thundering streams down a narrow gorge. Afterwards, the hike is a pleasant walk through a less dense forest. You will spend 6 hours hiking the entire day before you reach namrung. Shortly, the pleasant hike leads to a steep climb and you will finally arrive at Namrung. You enjoy a decent meal at a lodge in Namrung (2630m) and spend the night at the lodge.

Trek from Namrung to Shyala (3500 m/11,482 ft) (14km/10.9mi) 6 – 7 hrs, Tea House Accommodation

You will enjoy a great view of Siring and Ganesh Himal from Namrung village. After a hearty breakfast, you will start the trek walking steadily through forests to Lihi. Lihi is a beautiful village with chortens and barley terraces. You will have an amazing view of Simrang Himal (6251m) and Ganesh Himal (7422m) as you pass through the Sho, Lho and Shyala villages. You will explore the famous Ribung Gompa at Lho village.

Today’s hike is a scenic hike through the beautiful villages surrounded by majestic mountains like Himal Chuli and Ngadi Chuli. You will witness Ganesh Himal as you continue through the trek. You will hike a total of 6-7 hours on today’s journey. You will finally arrive at Samagaon (3530m) and stay for the night at a teahouse.

Day 8

Trek from Shyala to Sama Gaun(3500m/11482) Via Pungyen Gompa (4050 m/13287.4 ft) (10km/6.2mi) (6 – 7 hrs), Tea House Accommodation.

Today is the first day of acclimatization on your Manaslu trekking expedition. You will rest for the day at Samagaon and explore the Sherpa culture in the village. Exploring through the sight of thousands of mani stones with Buddhist texts and pictures is a breathtaking experience. An exploration to Sama village in an old Gompa (Pungyen Gompa) is optional.

Pungyen Gompa is a monastery and it offers splendid views of the glacier. Pungyen means bracelet and it is named after Manaslu. The gompa was partially destroyed a year after the first unsuccessful Japanese attempt to climb Manaslu. The Japanese were finally successful in 1959. You will spend 6 hours walking and exploring Pungyen gompa. You spend the night in Samagaon (3530m).

Day 9

Acclimatization at Sama Gaun  and trek to Manaslu Base Camp (4800 m/15,748 ft) (5.1km/3.16mi) 6 – 7 hrs, Tea House Accommodation.

The trek today will descend to the Budhi Gandaki River. The trail follows north towards a bridge over a side stream. The trail ahead is easy as it passes through the walls with several mani. You will shortly head towards the river and pass through the forest full of juniper and birch

The trail drops slowly through the lush terrains and leads to a wooden bridge over Budhi Gandaki. The hike continues to a steep climb over the two forks of the river. This hike is rather short as you walk for 4-5 hours at maximum. You will arrive at a stone arch, the stone arch offers a view of white kani. You will pass through the Kani shortly after and arrive at Samdo. You will stay for the night at a tea house in Samdo (3860m).

Day 11

Rest Day in Samdo (3860 m/12,661 ft), visit Tibetan Border (7 – 8 hrs)(5000 m/ 16404 ft)(19km/11.8mi), Tea House Accommodation.

This is the second day for a proper acclimatization process. You will have two options for, whether you will hike to valley directly at the back of the Samdo village or rest at the tea house. The hike to the valley will pass through the trade trails to with excellent views of Mount Manaslu (8,163 m), Hiunchuli (6441m), Simrang (6251m), Ngadi (7871m) and Mount Manaslu (8,163 m).You will pass through many herders and their settlements called doksas. If you are lucky, you might even come across Lophophorus, Lammergeyer and Himalayan Griffin soaring high in the sky. You can also trek to the Gya La, it is a more frequently used trading route to Tibet. You will avoid this trip because it takes a whole day to complete it. You will spend the night in Samdo.

Trek from Samdo to Dharamsala(Larkya B.C.) (4460 m/14,632 ft) (11.7km/7.2mi) 4- 5 hrs, Tea House Accommodation

Today, you will hike for 4-5 hours to Dharamsala/Larkya B.C. You will start your descend past the northern village and cross the Budhi Gandaki. The trail follows the grassy terrains and forest with rhododendron and juniper above the Syacha Khola Valley. You will witness the Larkya Glacier as you cross two streams along the trail.

The trek continues beyond the Larkya La Phedi. Soon, you will climb through steep terrain and arrive at the stone guest house in Dharamsala (4450 m). Dharamsala is not a lodge but a shelter for travelers. It is a short hike today which leaves you plenty of time to relax in the afternoon. You will spend the night in Dharamshala.

Day 13

Trek from Dharamsala  to Bhimtang (3700m / 12139.11 ft) via  Larke la pass (5106 m / 16751 ft) (24km/14.9mi) 8 – 9 hrs, Tea House Accommodation

The trek begins early in the morning and you start to hike steep trails to Larkya La through. The trail ahead is windy and rocky but the views of sunrise at Mount Manaslu (8,163 m) , Larke peak (6249m), Cheo Himal (6,820mt) are spectacular. The trek can be very cold, especially if windy. The snowfall and ice conditions will certainly slow down the pace of your trek. You will walk across moraines of the Larkya Glaciers and spectate the remarkable views of Cho Danda.

Below the trail lies a magnificent basin and ice walls. The trek to Bimtang is certainly longer than the rest of the days in the trek. You will a total of 8-9 hours until you finally reach Bimtang. You will hike into pastures with the evening mist looming close by. You will spend the night t in Bimtang (5106m).

Day 14

Trek from Bhimthang to Tilche (2250m/7544ft) (16km/9.9mi)(6-7 hrs), Tea House Accommodation.

You will enjoy the breakfast early in the morning with splendid views of Mt.Manaslu and Lamjung Himal. The Trek from Bimthang to Tilije takes about six to seven hours. You will start your trek for today with a descend and cross Sangure Kharka. Shortly after, you will cross a bridge over Dudh Khola. The trail passes through high pasture area and descends to the valley of Purdin Khola. You will hike towards a ridge at 4150 meters, from here you can enjoy excellent views of Mount Manaslu (8,163 m) and Annapurna II (7937m).

The trek continues beyond a bridge over the waters of the Dudh Khola. Eventually, you will make a descend into a forest to the highly cultivated land at Karche, 2785 meter. You will continue hiking until you reach the village of Gho. Staying at the teahouse of Gho is optional but we recommend you to stay at Tilije for the night. So, you must continue the trek despite the extreme tiredness to Tilije (2300m). You will spend the night in Tilije Village.

Day 15

Trek from Tilije to Dharapani(1890m/6200.87ft) (2 hours) (8km/ 4.9mi Trek) and drive to Besishar.(45km/25mi Drive)(7-8hrs)

After an early morning breakfast, you will hike through the farmlands of Tilje (2,300m/7,544ft), The trek heads towards the crossing to the east bank of the river and descends gradually towards the Marsyangdi Valley. You will hike through the scrub forest and eventually and head towards Thonje (1,965m/6,447ft). The trek continues along the main Annapurna Circuit route to Dharapani.

You will enjoy a perfect lunch at dharapani. Here on, you will hop on a reserved jeep or a local bus to Besisahar. The entire trip takes around 3-4 hours of a time interval. You will witness beautiful waterfalls and lush landscapes during the road drive to Besisahar. Upon your arrival at Dharapani, you will check in a lodge and enjoy a decent meal. You will spend the night at a lodge in Besisahar (825m).

Day 16

Drive back from Besisahar to Kathmandu (175km/108.9mi) on a comfortable vehicle. 6-7 hrs, Hotel Accommodation.

You will enjoy a crisp view of hills and mountains on your drive from Besisahar to Kathmandu. The drive will follow the banks of the Marsyangdi and Trishuli rivers. You can book a ticket for yourself on a Microbus service from Besisahar to Kathmandu until 2 p.m. Regardless, you always have an option to take a bus ride after you enjoy breakfast at 7 am.

It takes about 5-6 hours to reach Kathmandu from Besisahar. Upon your arrival at Balaju Bus park, you will drive back to the Hotel in Kathmandu. You can spend the in leisure or go last minute shopping. You will celebrate the successful completion of your trekking expedition with a pleasant farewell dinner with your trekking team.

Day 17

Final departure

Today is your last day here at Kathmandu. You will pack your belongings in your luggage before you check out from the hotel. A representative staff from the agency will be waiting for you outside the hotel. After you check out from the hotel, the representative will escort you to the reserved vehicle and load your luggage.

The staff will escort you to Tribhuvan International Airport 3 hours prior to your take off. He/she will confirm your ticket before you reach the airport. The representative will wish you a safe flight back to your homeland. We expect further travel plan from you in the future.
