Day 01: Arrive at Kathmandu and transfer to Hotel.
On arrival at Tribhuvan International Airport meet our staff with GA complimentary transport transfer to relevant Hotels, our guide will give you briefing of the Hotel, Kathmandu, Trekking, and related information that you might require while in Nepal with Great Adventure Treks & Expeditions.
Day 02: Half day guided sightseeing tour in Kathmandu.
After your first night in Kathmandu, you will be well informed on arrival about the time for your half day guided sightseeing tour in Kathmandu at places of interest if booked.
Day 03: Drive to Beshsishar 765m. by bus or private vehiclez.
Morning scenic and interesting drive from Kathmandu to Beshsishar, about 7 hrs drive, with lunch on route, then reaching at Beshsishar overnight stay in a nice lodge or hotel
Day 04: Trek to Ghale Gaun 1,700m. via Khudi 810m. 4 hrs.
In the morning after taking breakfast we will start our second day of trekking with about 1 hours drive from Besisahar to Khudi and walk about 4 hrs. This day we have to climb about 1000m from Khudi. So, it’s may be tiring for some people. Overnight in Ghalegaun with villagers.
Day 05: Trek to Bhujung 1,690m. 4 hrs
After breakfast we will start our trekking from Ghalegaun to Bhujung about 4 hours of walking up and down through the villages and their farms and with the very good view of the valley. After reaching Bhujung we will set our overnight places and we will have good time to spend with the local villagers, overnight in Bhujung.
Day 06: Trek to Pasgaun 1,630m. 5 hrs
From Bhujung to Pasgaun it’s a good walk. It’s about 5 hours to reach Pasgaun from Bhujung. We have to go down from Pasguan and then we will reach a river and then again we will climb upwards to reach our destination. To reach Pasgaun need to cross a pass at 2,165m and then we will reach Pasgaun.
Day 07: Trek to Singdi 1,650m. 4 – 5 hrs.
From Pasgaun it’s a slow and easy walk, walking side by side on this hill for about 4 hours. It’s a slight downward walk from Pasgaun. After reaching Pasgaun will interact with the villager and free at leisure.
Day 08: Trek to Pakhurikot 1400m. 5 – 6 hrs.
After breakfast we will continue to go downwards until we reach another river and a valley then we cross the river and we will start walking uphill about 1 hours and again walk almost straight but slight up and down tracks. This will approximately take about 5 hours to reach Pakhurikot from Singdi.
Day 09: Trek to Libiyani 1,050m. 6 hrs walks.
Walk in the morning from Pakhurikot to Libiyani. It’s an up and down walk. This is a long day trekking about 6 hours to reach Libiyani crossing a river and then a climb uphill to Libiyani for overnight stop. This trek is moderate and culturally diverse trek.
Day 10: Trek to Kalikasthan 1,105m. 3 – 4 hrs.
From Libiyani walking about four hours to Kalikasthan, on the hill and it’s a slight up and down. Easy walk about 11.8 kilometers. This is the second last day of this trip, and it’s quite close to city and you will notice the cultural difference from villages and Kalikasthan.
Day 11: Trek to Begnas tal drive to Pokhara.
From Kalikasthan starting the last day trekking to Begnas Tal (Lake) about 3 hours, then having lunch here with a drive to Pokhara, then check in at the hotel.
Day 12: Fly back to Kathmandu and transfer to Hotel.
As per the flight time to Kathmandu, with panoramic views of high mountains during 30 minutes flight, on arrival at domestic terminal, GA staffs transfer you back to the Hotel.
Day 13: Free day in Kathmandu.
A free day in Kathmandu, inform our GA staff if you would like to go on another short tour in and around Kathmandu Valley.
Day 14: Transfer to Airport for the International departure.
Today as per your international flight time, keep your confirmed air ticket, Great Adventure Trek staff will transfer you to the International airport for your final departure from Nepal, the land of high Himalayas.
Brief information about Ghalegaun:
Ghalegaun, situated at the foot of Lumjung Himal in north central Nepal, is an exotic pristine village endowed with an unparallel scenic grandeur and a home to world famous Gurkha soldiers- the Gurung. Repository of a unique ethnic culture Ghalegaun is a true microcosm of stunning natural beauty mixed with an unspoiled ethnic lifestyle.
Ghalegaun are mainly Gurung settlements; they nestle amidst mountains, rivers, streams, waterfalls and green forests. These places command a superb breathtaking view of majestic western Himalayas including Machhapucchre(6693m) Annapurna(8091m), Annapurna II (7939m) Annapurna IV (7525m), Lumjung Himal, Boudha Himal((6974m), Himalchuli (6747m) and many more smaller peaks.
Cultural Attractions:
Ghalegaun is a model village for experiencing the typical culture and lifestyles of the Gurung people. Traditional customs are still followed during births, deaths, marriages and in other rituals. Age old cultural dances like Jyaure, serka, dohori, Ghatu, Sorathi, Jankri etc are performed on various occasions accompanied by different musical instruments and with the dancers in traditional dress. Visitors to Ghalegaun are welcomed with offering of garlands and tika while music and dances are performed and traditional farewell songs are sung when guests depart. Nepali New Year and Buddha jayanti are celebrated with traditional dance called Ghatu. The people of Ghalegaun keep goats and sheep and use wool from these animals to make woolen products. They make clothes and bags from nettle fiber (allo Cloth) and scarfs, towels and shawls from the wool of angora rabbits. Ironsmiths make different iron products. Craftsmen produce a whole of different products from bamboo.
