A deservedly popular and medium length of river trip is combining exhilarating white water with fine scenery. One of the famous names of Himalayan Rivers, The Kali Gandaki raises in Mustang an enclave of Nepal Poking into Tibet on the other side of the Himalayas here; it is a flat and braided river, flowing in an arid open valley. As it tumbles down between the majestic Dhaulagiri and the Annapurna ranges, it creates one of the world's deepest gorges. The explorer Michael Peissel ran this stretch of the river in a small hovercraft in 1973 and at least two other groups have rafted and kayaked in this section.
All day you have to continuous keeping paddlers busy against all technical rapids on the Kali Gandaki River. Both experienced and novice rafters love this. Nowhere else is it possible to find such diversity on a 3 day raft trip. Nice drops, sparkling chutes and turbulent rapids provide class III to IV+ runs during the fall and spring seasons.

Amazing Trek
I had an incredible experience doing the Mardi Himal Trek for 4 nights and 5 days. I went solo on a private trek, and I felt supported the entire time. I was lucky to have Ramchandra Dadi as my guide, and I 100% recommend him. He was always looking out for me, making sure I was okay, and he also explained the mountains along the way, which made the experience even more special. It’s a trip I will never forget. I highly recommend it.
A Journey of a Lifetime with Great Adventure Treks
A huge thank you to The Great Adventure Treks for delivering a journey through Nepal and Bhutan that truly exceeded every expectation. From the moment we landed to our final farewell, everything was handled with outstanding personalised service, professionalism, and genuine care. Every detail was thoughtfully planned — whether it was standing at the top of the world near Mt Everest, hiking up to the breathtaking Tiger’s Nest Monastery, exploring temples, rivers, mountains, or simply enjoying the local culture and cuisine. The team didn’t just organise a trip; they created an experience tailored exactly to our pace, interests, and comfort. Their communication was clear, their guides were knowledgeable and supportive, and their hospitality made us feel like family rather than clients. Nothing was ever too much trouble. They delivered on every promise — and more. If you’re looking to explore Nepal and Bhutan with a team that combines adventure, safety, flexibility, and heart, I highly recommend The Great Adventure Treks. This wasn’t just a holiday — it was a journey that touched the soul. 🌏✨
Memories of poon hill and Kathmandu
My friend and me choose The Great Adventure trek for our holiday on Nepal. We found this company in online. We booked poon hill trek and two days Kathmandu world heritage tour. We are 100% satisfied and recommend this company to anyone for Nepal trek
One of the best treks of my life! My guide, Binod, is so sweet and passionate about his job and knows everything. Without him this would’ve been such a different experience, because he always makes sure you’re happy and comfortable. The organisation was also perfect so I didn’t have to worry about a single thing. Perfect👌
I recently completed the Ghorepani – Poon Hill – Tadapani – Ghandruk trek (3–4 days), and it was an unforgettable experience in the Annapurna region. The landscapes were incredibly diverse—lush forests, peaceful mountain trails, and beautiful villages—ending with the charming atmosphere of Ghandruk. The highlight was definitely the sunrise at Poon Hill, with stunning panoramic views of the Himalayan ranges. A big part of what made the trek so smooth and enjoyable was our guide, Mr. Binod, our Porter Mr. Tubonat and Mr. Chandra. He was professional, friendly, and very attentive—always managing the pace well, checking on our condition, and making sure everything was organized along the way (tea houses, breaks, and route guidance). His support and calm attitude made the journey feel safe and comfortable from start to finish. I highly recommend Mr. Binod if you’re looking for a well-guided, stress-free trekking experience in Nepal and tour The Great Advanture.
