Introduction:
The Great Adventure Treks & Expeditions (P) Ltd offers Makalu & Sherpani pass an adventurous journey to worlds’ 05th highest mountain Mt. Makalu 8,481m and to its Base Camp adventure continues to Sherpani pass with ample time exploring the alpine forest in the high alpine and arctic landscapes with rare species orchids and rural farm and traditional villages.  Adventure leads to the ridge and passes above the Arun River, (proposed site for the largest hydroelectric project in Nepal), and then to yak pastures and finally towards the endless ice fields of Mt. Makalu, on route view of Mt. Kanchenjunga massif, Everest, Lhotse, Baruntse and Chamlang can be seen, after a grand time at the Makalu base camp GA journey continues towards Khumbu, Everest region via Sherpani and Amphu Labtsa pass with return through Sherpa villages, the trek starts from Arun Valley following the rural areas, through fascinating medieval traditional farm villages, this walk-in follows picturesque and rarely trekked route, offering views of Mt. Makalu and Kanchenjunga all the way, more stunning views of the Mt. Khumbakarna Range as you enter the Barun valley of Makalu basin. From here, the trek passes over the yak pastures beneath the Makalu’s towering south face along with the great view of one of the rare east (Kanshung) face of Mt. Everest.

From here moving to higher camp at the foot of the Barun Glacier, here for final preparation for the traverse of the three cols and passes, ropes will be fixed on the steepest and most exposed sections of each of the passes, to safe guard the passage of the group, from this high route a spectacular view of most of the high peaks of the central eastern Himalaya, including Mt.Everest, Lhotse from the south east. As a relaxing final to this outstanding trek, after passing the last pass of Amphu Labtsa we descend towards the popular Everest trail, through the Khumbu area to Lukla for the flight back to Kathmandu.

Day 01: Arrive at Kathmandu 1,300m via respective airlines.
Day 02: A day in Kathmandu with half day sight- seeing tour.
Day 03: Fly to Tumlingtar (950m) 40 minutes’ flight and camp.
Day 04: Drive to Chichilla (1,800m)Approx 5 – 6 hours.
Day 05: Trek to Num (1,500m)Approx 5 – 6 hours.
Day 06: Trek to Sedua (1,493m.) Approx: 5 hours.
Day 07:Trek to Tashi Gaon(2,200m)Approx 3 – 4 hours.
Day 08: Rest day at Tashi Gaon.
Day 09: Trek to Kohma Danda. Approx 3,500m. 5 – 6 hours walk
Day 10: Trek to Mumbuk (3,400m) 6 hours walk
Day 11: Trek to Nehe Kharka 3,750m 6 hours.
Day 12: Trek to Sherson (4,600m) 6 hours walk.
Day 13: At Sherson for acclimatization.
Day 14: Trek to Higher Makalu BC 4 – 5 hours.
Day 15: Trek to Higher Camp at 5,200 meters.
Day 16: Trek & Camp near the base of Sherpani col. 5 – 6 hours.
Day 17: Rest Day for rest and accclimatization.
Day 18: Trek and camp at the moraine at an altitude of 5,640 meters.
Day 19: Trek to Panch Pokhari “Five lakes” at 5,480 meters.
Day 20: Trek to Chukhung via the Amphu Labtsa pass 6 hours.
Day 21: From Chukhung trek to Thyangboche. 5 – 6 hours.
Day 22: Trek to Monjo via Namche-Bazar 7 hours.
Day 23: Trek to Lukla for the last camp.
Day 24: Fly back to Kathmandu.
Day 25: In Kathmandu at leisure.
Day 26: International Departure to your respective destination.

Day 13: Shersong to Makalu Base Camp (5050m)

Day 17: Khongma to Seduwa(1540m)

Day 21: Rest day in  Kathmandu
Day 22: Departure  Kathmandu
