Day 01: Arrive in Kathmandu 1,300m.

Day 02: Half day sightseeing tour of Kathmandu.

Day 03: Fly or drive to Pokhara 860m. and begin the trek to Kaungaon 1,200m.

Day 04: Trek to Bahun Gaon 1,340m. 4 - 5 hrs.

Day 05: Trek to Syaglung 1,430m. 5 - 6 hrs.

Day 06: Trek to Begnas & drive to Pokhara.

Day 07: Drive back to Kathmandu 180 km. 5 hrs journey

Day 08: Transfer to Airport for International departure.

Extended Trips

Day 01: Arrive in Kathmandu and transfer to Hotel.

On arrival at Tribhuvan International Airport meet our staff with GA complimentary transport transfer to relevant Hotels, our guide will give you a briefing of the Hotel, Kathmandu, Trekking, and related information that you might require while in Nepal with Great Adventure Treks & Expeditions.

Day 02: Half day sightseeing tour of Kathmandu

Early morning, after breakfast, you will be taken for a cultural tour of Kathmandu city. Some of the main highlights will be Pashupatinath Temple, Swayambhunath, Boudhanath, Kathmandu Durbar Square,  Patan Durbar.

Day 03: Fly to Pokhara 860m. and begin 2 - 3 hrs treks to Kaungaon 1,200m.

As per the flight for Pokhara, GA staff will transfer you to domestic airport for a short half hour scenic flight to Pokhara. On arrival at Pokhara, our GA trekking staff will meet you, from Pokhara a short drive towards the outskirt of Pokhara city to start this wonderful trekking. After a short ride, reaching on the Pokhara’s suburb at Bijaypur Khola (stream) begin few hours of gentle walk towards camp at Kaungaon, the walk passes through several farm villages and rice terraces, coming across friendly locals till overnight camp is reached after a gentle first-day trek.

Day 04: Trek to Bahun Gaon 1,340m. 4 - 5 hrs.

The walk from Kahon Khola is a pleasant gradual walk with an hour uphill to Kalikathan, a rural farm village of mid hill tribes. From Kalikathan the trail is more gradual with few ups and downs all the way to Bahun Gaon for the overnight camp. Bahun Gaon offers a panoramic view of Annapurna, Lamjung and Manaslu range overlooking Begnas Lake below.

Day 05: Trek to Syaglung 1,430m. 5 - 6 hrs.

From Bahun Gaon, the walk is mostly through the farm villages and rice terraces and small woodlands, after three hours of walk to lunch at Syaglung Phedi. After lunch, the walk is mostly uphill all the way till Syaglung village is reached. The walk takes on the newly built stone steps half of the way and on dirt trails to camp at Syaglung.

Day 06: Trek to Begnas & drive to Pokhara.

The walk today is mostly on the downhill and gradual path to Begnas Lake through Lake Rupa, passing numerous villages and farm fields till Begnas Lake is reached for lunch. After lunch, an hour drive brings to the Hotel for the overnight at Pokhara by the lake Phewa.

Day 07: Drive back to Kathmandu 180 km. 5 hrs journey.                            

Morning a scenic drive or take a flight to Kathmandu and check into respective Hotels.

Day 08: Transfer to Airport for International departure.

Today as per your international flight time, Great Adventure staff will transfer you to the airport with complimentary transport for your final departure from this most scenic country, Nepal.


Pokhara is one of the most unique sub-tropical valley in the Himalaya and probably in the world, where one can marvel the beauty of the Himalayan landscape and reflection of the Annapurna massif including the towering majestic peak of Mt. Machhapuchare on its beautiful lakes. Pokhara is situated in the mid-western Nepal. It is linked by the main highway of 200 km driving distance from Kathmandu and by air approximately 20 to 30 minutes flight with sweeping panoramic views of the mid-east to western Himalayan ranges.

Mother Nature has certainly blessed this fertile valley with the outstanding scenery of the landscapes, snow-capped mountains, moderate tropical climate, and beautiful pristine lakes of Begnas, Rupa, and Phewa.

The most stunning of Pokhara's sights is the magnificent panorama of the Annapurna range which forms its backdrop. Annapurna massif includes Annapurna I to IV and Annapurna South. Among these high peaks, it is the towering majestic Mt. Machhapuchare (Fish Tail) which dominates all others in this range.
