Tibet Tour With Everest Base Camp Tour (Fly In/Drive Out) Or ViceVersa

You will land at the Tribhuvan International airport in Kathmandu. From there, our representative will pick you up and drop you to the hotel. Overnight in Kathmandu.

From Kathmandu airport, we will fly to the airport in Lhasa. The flight is a scenic one. You will fly over the Nepalese and Tibetan Himalayas. Enjoying the mesmerizing scenic views, we will land at Lhasa airport. After you arrive in Lhasa, our Tibetan guide will receive you at the airport. S/he will then escort you to your hotel in Lhasa.

Lhasa is the heart of Tibet. Today, we will spend our entire day on a sightseeing tour in Lhasa. You will have a guided sightseeing tour to the Sera Monastery. This is a beautiful monastery with white-washed walls and golden roofs.

You will also go to the Jokhang Temple. This temple is a sacred site of Buddhist pilgrims. After visiting these two sites, you will have time to stroll around Barkhor Bazaar. Barkhor Bazaar is a busy street town where you can see colourful shops, Tibetan arts, and amazing people.

Overnight in Lhasa.

Today is your second day of sightseeing in Lhasa. You will be visiting many historical sites today. Some of them are the Potala Palace and Drepung Monastery. Mar Po Pr, the red hills is an amazing hill where the Potala Palace and Drepung monastery lies.

The Potala Palace was the summer residence of Dalai Lama until he fled to India. At the palace, you can see the private quarters of Dalai Lama.

The Drepung Monastery is a large monastery that houses over 10,000 Buddhist monks. We will explore the monastery. The artworks on the walls and the ceilings are amazing. Overnight in Lhasa.

Today is our third day in Lhasa. We will be touring around Lhasa to see the historical monuments and Tibetan lifestyle. We will visit the Tibet Museum. There, you can see different objects that represent the history and culture of Tibet.

You can see the collection of prehistoric relics like Buddha statues in various postures, imperial jade seals, gold albums, gifts granted by emperors, colourful Thanks, and printed Sanskrit and Tibetan scriptures.

After visiting the museum, we will spend the rest of our day buying art pieces, thangkas, and several other things. Overnight in Lhasa.

On this day, we will drive you to Gyantse. This is a wonderful day, as you will be driving over the

Friendship Highway. We will drive past Khamba La (4,794m). There is a beautiful lake called Yamdrok Tso Lake. We will stop by the lake to enjoy the splendid views of the lake and Nazin Kang Sang glacier (7,252m).

We will cross the Karo Lass Pass from where we will see amazing glacial views. We will drive to Gyantse. From Gyantse, you’ll see the beautiful Tibetan villages.

Overnight in Gyantse.

Today, we will drive to Shigatse to visit the 14th-century fort of Gyantse Dzong. Shigatse is a beautiful place. On your way to Shigatse, you will see beautiful views of Gyantse and Nyang Chu Valley.

You will also see 35 meters gold-domed stupa. We will also make a visit to the Shalu Monastery of Han. The monastery is Tibeto-Indian styled. Shigatse is the second largest city in Tibet. At Shigatse, there is a beautiful monastery called Tashilhunpo Monastery. We will visit there.

Overnight in Shigatse.

On this day, we will drive along the Friendship Highway to Shegar. Today, we will see variable Tibetan landscapes. We will drive through Lhatse to Gyamtso La, 5520 meters, the highest pass on the way. On the way, we will make a stop at the Natang monastery and the Shakya monastery.

Then, we will drive down to the camps of herders. Overnight there.

Today is a big day. We will be visiting the northern base camp of Mount Everest in Tibet. We will leave Shegar and head towards Pang La (5,150m). The more we drive southwards, closer we get to the main Himalayan range.

From the top of Pang La pass, you will see amazing Himalayan vista exhibiting towering peaks from Makalu to Shishapangma. We will drive down and turn into the Rongbuk Valley. From there, you will see the enthralling views of Mount Everest.

From the valley, we will walk, take a horse, or drive in a local bus to Everest base camp. We will explore the Everest base camp. We will also visit Rongbuk Monastery.

Overnight in Rongbuk valley.

Today is your last day exploring Tibet. Early in the morning, we will enjoy the sunrise view over Everest. Then, we will drive to Tingri. On the way, we will cross two high passes: Lalung La (5,124m) and Shung La (5,200m).

We will drive to Gyirong and will stay overnight there.

We will drive to the Bhote Koshi River border. We will walk to the Nepalese Immigration Control in Kodari. You will say bye-bye to your Tibetan guide when a Nepalese tour staff member meets you. From there, we will drive to Kathmandu. It will take us around 3 hours to reach Kathmandu from there.
