Paro is a quaint valley town in Bhutan with the one and only international airport in Bhutan.
From the Paro Airport, we will set off on a picturesque drive towards the capital of the country, Thimpu. After arriving in the capital city, we will comfortably drive and escort you to your designated place of stay. At the hotel, you can rest, eat, and prepare to explore the capital the next day.
Around the evening time, you have a laid-back stroll on the busy streets, immersing in the lively atmosphere of the local markets in Bhutan. You can also communicate with friendly Bhutanese people and taste local foods before returning to the hotel for an overnight stay.
Day 4: Exploration Day at Thimphu
Today, we will spend a day, exploring the unique culture and tradition in the capital of the Land of the Thunder Dragon. We will tour some of the significant landmarks of Bhutan in Thimpu.
During our visit to Tashichho Dzong , you will have the opportunity to explore the Bhutanese king's throne room. Following that, we will visit and explore the National Memorial Chorten , which is dedicated to the third king of Bhutan, Jigme Dorji Wangchuck. Likewise, we will reach the giant bronze statue of Buddha Shakyamuni at the top of a hill to enjoy the awe-inspiring expansive vistas of Lhasa city from its elevated height. Next, we will tour the Folk Heritage Museum and gain insights into Bhutanese traditional lifestyles through the display of historical artifacts and everyday household items.
Time permitting, we will also visit the National Library, the Handmade Paper Factory, and the School of Arts and Crafts in Thimpu. After completing the city excursion, you can retreat to the comfortable hotel accommodation.
Day 5: Drive From Thimphu to Paro

After waking up in the hotel, start your day with a hearty breakfast. Then, prepare to head back towards Paro. The distance between Thimpu and Paro is approximately 50 kilometers. It will take around 1.5 to 2 hours to reach our destination through a drive.
The historic town of Paro presents numerous holy sites to sightsee. We will visit Rinpung Dzong, a significant fortress monastery dating back to the 17th century. It is situated on a hilltop with a serene ambiance and overlooking the Paro Valley. Other highlights of Paro are Kyichu Lhakhang (Kyerchu Temple), one of the oldest holy temples in Bhutan, and Paro National Museum , manifesting Bhutanese history, art, culture, custom, religious antiques, and architecture and Drukgyel Dzong, a ruined fortress on the outskirts of Paro with spectacular views of the mountains and valleys.
Time permitting, we will embark on a 2-3 hour uphill trek to the Tatksang Monastery (Tiger’s Nest). A short drive from Paro will take us to the base of this iconic and holy monument. We will ascend through the lush forest of pine and rhododendrons, and after walking around 4.5 kilometers, we will reach the monastery that treats us to the breathtaking view of the Paro Valley.
We will settle in at a nice hotel in Paro for the night. Soak into the magnificence of traditional Bhutanese dishes and prepare to fly back to Kathmandu on the following day.
Day 6: Fly From Paro to Kathmandu and Drive to Nagarkot

After a meal in the hotel, we will drive towards the Paro International Airport for a return flight to Kathmandu. We will take off from the only International Airport in Paro and fly over the breathtaking Bhutanese landscapes. Eventually, we will descend to the wide urban sprawl of Kathmandu as we land at the Tribhuwan International Airport.
After arriving in Kathmandu, we will take a scenic drive towards Nagarkot. Nagarkot is on the outskirts of the valley, which is approximately 32 kilometers east of Kathmandu. It is the perfect place near the bustling capital to escape its hustle and bustle and immerse yourself in the serene natural beauty. The winding roads through enchanting countryside landscapes will take us to Nagarkot, where we will spend a marvelous night soaking up the soothing hilly ambiance and stunning views of the Himalayas.
Day 7: Drive From Nagarkot to Kathmandu Airport and Fly to Lhasa

While flying from Kathmandu (1,400 meters) to Lhasa (3,650 meters), you will gain 2,250 meters elevation. After you land at the Lhasa International Airport, a Tibetan guide will accompany you to the hotel, where you can relax and acclimatize. Spend your quality time relishing delectable dishes and sampling the traditional Tibetan tea.
Day 8: Lhasa Tour
Lhasa is renowned for its significant historical, cultural, and religious Tibetan-Buddhist heritage. We will spend this day touring the ancient city, which has several stunning sightseeing landmarks.
Potala Palace , a UNESCO World Heritage Site, is the focal point in Lhasa. It is positioned at the top of the Marpo Ri/Red Hill. Day 10: Fly From Lhasa to Kathmandu and Transfer to the Hotel
