A Caring Agent
I traveled to Kathmandu for a conference and visited the World Heritage sites, but the most impressive sightseeing was the early morning mountain flight at 5:15 to see the Himalayas. My wife walks with crutches and was taken good care of, especially on the last day when her feet got swallowed badly, Mani kindly arranged her to receive the best medical treatment in the local international hospital. She had a CT, received effective medication, and was released after an overnight stay. The best travel agents are those who really care about their clients!

Everest/Lhotse expedition
Two friends and I signed up for Everest/Lhotse expedition through Mani. Mani was super responsive and gave us quote right away fitting our requests. We were matched to Satori expeditions for logistics and guiding (typical in 8000m expeditions for companies to combine logistics for efficiency). Mani has been transparent and had great communication before and during the expedition. He also met us in Kathmandu after to make sure everything goes smoothly post -exped. The expedition was long but I summited Everest, which was the top goal for the trip. I'm very happy with all the planning and help from the Great adventure treks and expeditions.

Superb experience 7 days Nepal trip
I generally book the hotels on my own but this time decided to go via tour travelers for some local experience. After taking quotes and details from 2 other companies, contacted Mani ji via whatsapp for 7 day Nepal tour. As a owner, he himself guided and made the itinerary for me. 1. Full transparency from hotel category to exact hotels and all inclusions exclusions w.r.t costs. 2. Pick ups , sight seeing everytime the car was on time. 3. All the staff were very helpful and courteous. 4. Any changes from my side were accepted without any discomfort. 5. Mr. Mani ji was available all the time for any info or help. Best thing was he never asked for any advance payment for sharing itinerary and giving hotel details etc. One of the best tour organiser experience I had. Highly recommend him !!

We trekked up to Everest Base Camp to undertake the Everest Marathon, and throughout our time in Nepal we were fully supported by the Team at Great Adventure Treks. The owner of the company, Mani, was in constant contact with us, helping to arrange our trip and meet our needs. He ensured every aspect of our trip was catered for. He put us in contact with our Guide (Padam) and our Porter (Sunil), who accompanied us up to base camp. Padam was an excellent guide, who was knowable, understanding and caring throughout our trek. He ensured we were ready for the marathon and his knowledge of the area was truly amazing. Sunil has an excellent character. He was with us every step of the way, carrying out bags from Lukla all the way to base camp. He did all this with a constant smile on his face, ensuring our spirits remained high throughout the long trekking days. The Trek and Marathon were amazing events, and the majesty of the Himalayas can not be understated. Overall, we had an amazing time and would strongly recommended anyone who was looking to visit the region to get in touch and book with the Great Adventure Trekking company.

Everest Base Camp Helicopter Tour Frequently Asked Question (FAQs)
Q1. Is Everest Base Camp Helicopter Tour safe for me?
Safety is always our primary concern so there is no doubt that this tour is safe from every aspect. And we make sure of it by arranging reliable and powerful helicopters for the tour with our highly experienced pilots.
Likewise, we even take care of your safety throughout your journey. As the helicopter takes you to high altitude above 5000 meters, we make sure you don’t get altitude sickness. Moreover, we make sure you stay at the highest vantage point like Kala Patthar for a calculated amount of time. It is necessary as you won’t be able to acclimatize at such altitudes in a short period. So, for your health concern, we will take regular breaks with calculated minutes. So, you can get comfortable and well adapted to the environment.
Q2. Is there any age boundary for EBC Heli Tour?
No, there is not any age limit for the tour so people of all ages can opt for it. Similarly, this tour is for those who are time bound or want to avoid physical exhaustion. Thus, even children or elderly people can go for it without any restrictions. But make sure you are in the best form of your health without any complications.
Q3. I am a solo traveler. Do I have to take a private heli tour or can join a group for Everest Base Camp Helicopter Tour?
It doesn’t matter if you are a solo traveler or a group. We can arrange any type of tour as per your preference. Also, in the seasonal time, we have regular flights every day. You can contact us and share your preference and we will take care of the rest.
Q4. What is the maximum number of people who can join the group in the Heli Tour?
The number of persons in a group depends on their weight and the helicopter you are onboarding. But, on average, five to six people can fly at once in a helicopter tour. To maintain balance while flying is a must. So, there won’t be more than six people in a group for the EBC Heli Tour.
Q5. What is the highest altitude that the Everest Base Camp Helicopter Tour would take off?
Your tour would start from Kathmandu which is at an altitude of 13000 meters. It then takes you to Lukla Airport at 2860m. From there, you will get to your vantage points like Kala Patthar (5545m) and Everest Base Camp (5364m). About the highest altitude, the helicopter would encircle around 6500-7000 meters. It would also depend on the type of helicopter you are on board.
Q6. Are the pilots experienced enough?
You don’t have to worry about it all. All of our heli-pilots are experienced for flying around those altitudes on mountainous terrain. They are well known about every location and have entire information related to peaks. They are in every way concerned for your safety so it speaks for their experience itself.
Q7. Can I hire a guide for this tour?
If you wish to know more about the region, we can arrange an experienced guide for your private tour. You might have to pre-inform us for that. But this process isn’t compulsory. You can get enough information during the trip by our friendly and experienced pilots.
Q8. Does the flight land at Everest Base Camp too?
Yes, the helicopter will land at Everest Base Camp too. But that would depend upon the weather condition and wind speed. So, as for us, your safety comes first the landing cannot be guaranteed.
But for your information, Kala Patthar is the best viewpoint of the entire Everest region. You cannot view mountainous peaks from Everest Base Camp. It is famous for the view of Khumbu Icefalls and glaciers. You can observe these views from your flight with ease.
Q9. How long is the landing time at Base Camp and Kala Patthar?
You will be encircling around some highest altitudes like 5000 and 6000 meters. Thus, there is a high chance of getting altitude sickness. Thus, it is not a good idea to stay at those vantage points for a longer time. That is why the landing time at Base Camp and Kala Patthar is from 10-15 minutes.
But this time would be enough for you to capture mesmerizing views of all the majestic peaks. Also, you will get enough time to enjoy their view from the helicopter. So, the landing time might be short for safety reasons, you will get ample time to enjoy surroundings.
Q10. Do you have Oxygen tanks in Helicopters?
Yes, we do have oxygen tanks inside the helicopters. It is indeed a crucial thing that we can’t miss. Also, the level of oxygen is automatically maintained within for coping up with the environment above 3000 meters.
Q11. What happens if bad weather hits and the flight doesn’t take off?
Weather in the Everest region is hard to predict due to their paramount heights. Sometimes the bad weather hits and flight may not take off. In this case, we’ll fix your tour next morning. If you are unable to take the next scheduled flight, you can also get a refund. But that would depend on booking terms and conditions.
